Don Wildman, television host and narrator of Travel Channel’s Mysteries at the Museum and the long-running podcast series, American History Hit, will be the speaker at the annual Easton Day Celebration on Sunday, September 13, at Easton Friends’ South Meetinghouse (227 Meetinghouse Road in Easton, NY). Wildman’s presentation, QUAKERS IN WAR: PATHS OF CONSCIENCE, will explore how Friends have historically navigated the challenges of military conflict and conscientious objection in pursuit of peace.
The day's events include worship at 11:00 a.m., a potluck lunch at noon, group singing at 1:00 p.m. and the presentation at 1:30 p.m.
The celebration is free and open to the public. Guests may attend all or any part of the day’s program.
Because the South Meetinghouse is in an area where it's impossible to get a good Zoom connection, Easton Day will not be available by Zoom.
